At Aquidneck Island Christian Academy,
we aim to uphold the core of the historic Christian faith as found in the pages of Holy Scripture.

We believe:

  1. There is one God, eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. (Genesis 1:26; John 10:30, 17:21)
  2. The Bible is inspired, infallible, authoritative Word of God, which is “useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness that the man of God may be equipped for every good work.” (2 Timothy 3:16-17 NIV)
  3. God created the universe and created humankind, male and female, in His own image. (Genesis 1:1, 26)
  4. Adam and Eve’s disobedience brought sin and death into the world. Humankind thus alienated himself from God, his neighbor and the world. All are sinners. (Romans 3:23)
  5. In the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, in His virgin birth, in His sinless life, in His miracles, in His vicarious and atoning death, in His bodily resurrection, in His ascension to the right hand of the Father and in His personal return in power and glory. (John 10:25-30; 1 Corinthians 15:13; Hebrews 12:2; Mark 16:19)
  6. In the absolute necessity of regeneration by the Holy Spirit for salvation because of the exceeding sinfulness of human nature. We believe that men are justified on the single ground of faith in the shed blood of Christ; only by God’s grace and through this faith are we saved. (John 3:3; 1 Peter 1:3, 18, 23; Ephesians 2:8-9)
  7. God calls us into His body to accept the cost and joy of discipleship, to be His servants, to resist the powers of evil and to proclaim the gospel to all the world. (Ephesians 6:10-18; Matthew 28:19-20; Luke 9:23-25)
  8. God has charged parents with the responsibility of bringing up their children in the “nurture and admonition of the Lord.” (Ephesians 4:3-6)
  9. In the spiritual unity of believers in our Lord Jesus Christ. (Ephesians 4:3-6)
